Sportsworld is currently in the process of revamping it’s fishing department and developing a new inventory of lures, rods and reels, and terminal tackle to meet the needs of Ely fishermen. As many of you know, gradually over the last decade or so the Ely area has seen an excellent Largemouth Bass fishery develop at the four Sunnyside lakes and at Comins lake. We now have bass in abundant numbers, but also a fishery that produces 5lb. plus trophy class fish!

With the emergence of this great bass fishery, it has become apparent to us at Sportsworld that we need to provide quality equipment and service to our local bass fishermen. In addition, we realize that this is also going to be a new type of fishing for many of our residents. One they have never had the opportunity or desire to familiarize themselves with.

Sportsworld will now carry a full line of lures and tackle for bass fishermen. Over the next month we will be stocking a wide range of lures we have not previously carried. For example, we will now have a comprehensive selection of “Crankbaits”, a lure that truly puts bass in the boat! We are SIGNIFICANTLY expanding our selection of “spinnerbaits” to include new blade options, spinnerbait sizes, and will now stock economy priced spinnerbaits as well as top-of-the-line Booyah and Strike King models. We will now also stock a wide range of “plastics” beyond our Berkley powerbait line including Gary Yamamoto, Zoom, and others. These plastics will be the complete range of grubs, twin tails, drop-shot (do nothing) worms, 4-8” worms, 4-7‘ lizards, several sizes and colors of crawfish and a selection of the popular “Creature” plastics! We will also be stocking all of the sinkers and hooks to fish these rigs.

We have already received many of these products and they’re on the shelves. Over the next month we will be displaying many more, including rods and reels in the sizes and action weights for bass. We have selected the best quality bait casting reels and rods at reasonable prices from Shimano, Quantum, Abu Garcia, and Shakespeare.

We currently have a special on several brands of spin casting combos that include rod reel line, etc., at amazing prices. We are also having a closeout/inventory reduction sale of rods, reels, fly lines, and lures at 40% off our regular price!

As always, we will continue to carry our full line of trout fishing equipment, lures, bait, accessories, and tackle.
